Why guests love itWaking up across the street from Ciutadella Park meant morning walks among genuine greenery before the city's heat set in, an unexpected contrast to the denser streets we'd stayed in elsewhere in Barcelona. The rooftop pool became our regular afternoon stop, and the Volta Restaurant's Mediterranean menu was good enough that we skipped searching for dinner elsewhere more than once. El Born's mix of old-city character and park access made this one of the more relaxed bases of the whole trip.
