About this hotel
Royal Tanau measures its ski-in claim in a way few hotels bother to: fifty metres from the Esquirós lockers and lifts, close enough that the walk from room to lift queue barely counts as a walk. The hotel runs a fixed season, December through March, closing completely outside those months rather than trying to hold a year-round position in the Val d'Aran. Rooms carry panoramic views over the valley along with a hydromassage bath, bathrobe and slippers, and a snack bar handles light lunches for guests who don't want to break for a full restaurant meal mid-ski-day. An après-ski fireplace gives the evening routine somewhere to land once the lifts close for the day, and the seasonal focus keeps every service on site tuned to skiers rather than a mixed summer crowd.
