Hotel Cordón
Romanesque facade, five minutes from the cathedral
Sobre este hotel
Hotel Cordon occupies a pedestrian street just off the main square, close enough to Burgos Cathedral that the walk over takes five minutes and passes some of the old town's better bars and restaurants along the way. The traditional Romanesque facade gives little away about the smart, modern interior behind it, where wooden floors and marble bathrooms run through every room rather than only the pricier categories upstairs. A stylish cafe handles the daily buffet breakfast, and the Museum of Human Evolution sits an easy walk from the front door, making this a genuinely central base for anyone building a short trip around the cathedral quarter and the old town's pedestrian streets without needing to drive anywhere at all.

- Pedestrian street location
A nossa opinião
This suits couples and city-break travellers who want a central, walkable base without paying for a full palace conversion, and the pedestrian street setting keeps early mornings quiet despite the central position. Anyone arriving by car should note the bus station is a ten-minute walk away, since the hotel itself has no dedicated on-site parking of its own.
- ✓Ask for a room away from the pedestrian street's cafe terraces if you're a light sleeper, weekend evenings draw a steady crowd below.
- ✓Walk the five minutes to the cathedral before the tour groups arrive, the old town streets here are quietest in the early morning.
- ✓Book the buffet breakfast in advance during peak season, the stylish cafe fills up quickly with both guests and passersby.
Porque adoramos
- Genuine Romanesque facade over a modern interior
- Five-minute walk to Burgos Cathedral
- Marble bathrooms and wooden floors throughout
- Right on the old town's main pedestrian street
